May Principal's Message
Dear Families,
I can't believe that we are on the home stretch of an incredibly successful year! This month, our character trait of the month is "Perseverance." Perseverance is the continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulty, failure, or opposition. What an amazing concept to focus on as we dig deep to finish our year strong.
We have many fun events to which you can be a part of. Please make sure to check the website frequently as well as listen to our all-calls and read our emails so you don't miss anything exciting. Some fun upcoming events are grade level field trips, talent show, 6th grade vs. staff events, field day, Kinder and 6th grade promotions, and Family Night at the Rivercats!
CAASPP testing is coming up in grades 3-6. Please ensure your child gets a good night's sleep, and eats a good breakfast during testing season (May 9th-May 26th). We are proud of our school and want to make sure we reflect our values and hard work by doing our best on the test.
We are a uniform school. Please make sure your child comes to school wearing solid, navy blue or khaki bottoms, and solid white, navy or baby blue tops. Students not in uniform will have to call home to have a uniform brought to school or be given one to change into if sizes are available. We are happy to help if you are experiencing hardship. Please reach out to the office if you need uniforms or shoes.
Thank you so much for your support in ensuring Peter Burnett is a safe place to learn. If you ever have any questions, we are happy to help. Just call the office and leave a message if you weren't able to get through the first time. We will always call back if you request it.
Regards,
Mrs. Santos
